Come and join our Tuesday morning water sports session at Stanborough Lakes! This experience has been running for over ten years and is open to all, whether you're looking for a one-off adventure or a weekly session.

Led by experienced instructors, children will use either kayaks, canoes, or stand-up paddleboards.

Fun Session and Award Certificates
Children will be able to choose which craft they wish to use.  This will be a fun session to see out this season, with instructors suggesting games that will naturally build confidence and water skills. There will be plenty of free time, with the option to take a refreshing jump from the dock at the end.

At the end of the session children who achieved their Paddle Start Award will be given their certificate.

Participants aged 8-18 are welcome, and no swimming skills are required.

Children under 8 are not able to join due to insurance restrictions, there is no flexibility on this.

Sessions run weekly from the end of April to the end of September.

 

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, participants must follow a few guidelines. Listen closely to our instructors, respect your fellow participants, and spend more time on the equipment than in the water!

The centre provides the equipment, life jackets, and wetsuits. Remember to bring a towel, a swimming costume/trunks, shoes that can get wet (with a strap to hold them in place), and a strap if you wear glasses too.  This session runs rain or shine, so if it's chilly bring a warm jumper and hat to be worn out on the water.

You'll need to arrive at the start time to sign in your child with the instructors, they’ll open a wooden door in the gate, to the left of the office.  Then feel free to leave, or stay for a coffee and chat with other parents hanging out at the picnic benches in front of the lake.

Parking at either Stanborough Lakes Car Park is included if your child is booked into a Watersports session! Simply give your car registration to the instructor the first time you check your child in at the gate and your parking will be free each time your child is booked on to future events in that year.

Parking fees at the venue apply at all other times.
